WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Paul Burchill as of today February 26, 2010. We wish Paul Burchill the best in all future endeavors.

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Shane Helms (Hurricane) as of today February 26, 2010. We wish Shane Helms (Hurricane) the best in all future endeavors.

---

Tough break. Burchill seemed like a no-brainer, since he hasn't been seen on TV in weeks. Helms, on the other hand, despite his recent issues (Twittering drunk with Daniels, then play-fighting with Jericho), still didn't seem like he was in much danger. Oh well.

With ECW dead, and even less TV time to showcase main roster superstars, I guess WWE is cleaning a little house prior to Mania? Hopefully, NXT will fill the void with some quality superstars?

Ah man that blows chunks, Burchill could've had a good tenure in WWE. Katie Lea needs a push. Helms is going to HNA, and with this, Matt Hardy could be on the way too.

Wolfe and Burchill, good team, if they were in WWE...Wolfe, Burchill, and Regal, that'd be a great stable.

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Maria as of today February 26, 2010. We wish Maria the best in all future endeavors.

Holy shit, this is more surprising than the 2 releases of today. Meh, she was a prissy woman, Beth and Natalya for life<3.

Not that surprised, I remember reading an interview of hers just about a month ago on TheSun.couk where she talked about getting out of the wrestling business in the near future. Just to add to the suckiness for Maria yesterday was her 28th birthday.

Heres that interview I mentioned earlier.

Although she is now claiming she didn't ask for her release so I must be wrong.
Maria Comments On Her WWE Release

Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis posted the following on Twitter moments ago regarding her release from the company:

Alright guys let's talk. I did not ask for my release. I was released. I am still going to kick ass in other areas!! I am excited about the future! But I am sad about never getting the Championship. I am sad about not getting the chance to go to Wrestlemania again. Passion is my Motivation! Time to Sing! Time to work for Charity! Time to Dance! Time to be Alive again! Much love to my FANS, my FAMILY, the DIVAS, and my FRIENDS! There is a bright new future when one door closes another opens! Bring on the Doors! Spanks and Kisses

No big loss in my eyes, I never saw anything great about Burchill to be perfectly honest and cannot see why hes loved By hundreds oF internet fans. I found him to be nothing but boring, yeah he had a few good moves but meh where does that get you in WWE. Sorry Thrash but to even suggest Burchill and Desmond Wolfe teaming together is just crazy, Paul isn't any where near Desmond's league. So actually yeah I'm hapy hes gone.

As for Hurricane slightly disapointed but we'll see him in TNA soon enough anyway, but I think it was proabably curtains for both men when they were moved to ECW anyway.

I hope they put Charlie Haas out of his misery and let him go aswell

This is a shocker to me - not because of any personal concern for Maria - but because of the fact that Maria was a super babyface in that company (despite her position on the totem pole) and she was still someone who appeared consistantly on television. It even seemed as though Maria was about to find herself in a storyline with Matt Hardy as a love interest, or a fued with Michelle/Layla, so it surprises me greatly that she was let go. Having Maria was much like a middleman (or middle-woman) between WWE and the female demographic. Most girls I know who watch wrestling do not like to watch girls like Beth or Natalya because they see them as too "manly" and prefer the more streotypically feminine women like Mickie or Maria. This news is definately something I did not expect to read.

Another WWE release

Referee Scott Armstrong. This is a big surprise, since they need referees and they aren't highly paid, and Armstrong was well respected in the role.
