The title might throw you off, but since seeing Jarrett on this week's iMPACT, being shown in a double wide, poor looking, locker room, and no entrance music, no guitar, all the works, I've been thinking of the good ending to this tragic story of a respectable wrestler. Being in AP (Advanced Placement) British Literature class, I learned what a tragic hero is, and most of what was read, they always die. I want a good ending, and Jarrett is the tragic hero of HNA currently, in and out of the ring. We all know of Dixie excommunicating Jarrett after his (luckyyyy) relationship with Karen Angle (aka Kurt Angle's EX-WIFE, not wife), and coming back to a whole new reign that turned TNA into HNA, this man is a tragic hero. He headed the wrestling aspect of the company, while Carter was the inexperienced woman in the background, who happens to own majority stock on the company. Now, he is practically at the same level of wrestlers like Amazing Red, or Jay Lethal, only there is a storyline to this status, bringing to attention one golden example of how HNA does business. Maybe the only difference is that Jarrett has a salary, while most of these guys have a pay-per appearance deal. I want the rise of the tragic hero. I want to see Jarrett continue to go through this slow walk up the ladder, that should culminate to him winning the world title, at least at the 2010 Bound For Glory. How inspirational would that be? Your hero, or some guy you know, was at the top of the mountain, was the King of the Mountain, the unbelievable deity knocks the King off the mountain, and must rise, after months of darkness. It's cliche and corny, but definitely a sell for me. Sadly, this is way too good of a storyline idea that HNA can't bring that into fruition, or at least something close. |

Yeah, this woudl definitely be a great idea, and would be one of the best storylines in months. I have never been a big fan of Jarrett, but to have him win at BFG or Turning Point would be great. However, with WWE changing all their PPV names/dates, won't TNA try that? |

I do like what's going on with Jarrett (besides the terrible heel promo he had to cut the week after Jan 4th to solidify him as a heel) but I've had enough of him at the top of TNA. At this point he needs to put others over (who aren't named Eric Young) and not focus on himself. This guy has had the belt for far too long during the dark days of TNA. I realise it's been a while since he's had it but it'd be a big step backwards. |

I'd actually rather see Jarret win the global title, rename and redesign the belt as an official mid-card belt so it's would at least be a symbol of some sort of respect for the guys who should be in the main event but aren't getting it. He could go over "Big Rob" to win it and get himself a bit of a push and then vacate it to have a tournament held for it because facing facts, X-Division title is just a more glorified CW title and guys stuck in the middle who aren't getting the ME push they deserve but are still good, solid wrestlers (Daniels, Beer Money, Kaz, Stevie, etc.) would have something to look forward to. |

I think it depends on what they decide to do with AJ. A long heel run seems to be the in idea, but TNA management aren't known for sticking to their guns. However, I would love to see Jarrett win the strap over AJ in four or five months. It would dovetail nicely with their previous run ins during TNA's infancy. |

A tragic hero intrinsically has to die, translated into wrestling this would most probably be retiring. And what would his tragic flaw be, dating a colleagues ex-wife? I don't think they want to publicise that too much. Yeah, I don't see this working, but I would like to see Jarrett get another title run, just not at the moment. |
